Licensing via Microsoft App Source
Per User Licensing
Each user of the visual requires a license. Users include both report creators and viewers. The visual can be purchased directly through Microsoft AppSource, and can be billed monthly or annually. Annual purchases benefit from a month free.
Plans include use of Icon Map background mapping.

For existing users of Icon Map Pro with 25 or more annual user licenses, we can offer Icon Map Slicer as an addon to Icon Map Pro at a discounted price.

Power BI Premium and Microsoft Fabric Capacity Based Pricing
For Power BI reports deployed to a Power BI Premium capacity or a Microsoft Fabric Capacity, rather than licensing on a per-user basis, the whole capacity can be licensed providing unlimited use of Icon Map Slicer on reports deployed to that capacity. Licensing for Specific Environments
Icon Map Pro is fully supported in the following environments. However, due to their unique characteristics, they require a different licensing model than what's available through Microsoft AppSource:
- Publish to Web (embedding within a public-facing website)
- Power BI Embedded
- Power BI Report Server (on-premise installation)
- Azure Government Community Cloud (GCC)
- Some regional clouds
For Publish to Web and Power BI Embedded, we offer a usage-based licensing model since validating individual users isn't feasible in these modes.
We also offer pricing for a whole Power BI / Microsoft Fabric capacity, providing unlimited usage for all maps in reports deployed to the licensed capacity. This can be used for both internal and external sharing.
For Power BI Report Server, the Azure Government Community Cloud (GCC), and certain regional clouds, we tailor pricing to your specific use case because direct user validation isn't possible.
